Peter Reginato creates welded steel sculptures painted with vibrant enamel colors. In reference to the painting of his scultptures Reginato says, "To me every shape is individual and should have a different color. Shapes have personalities. Painting them helps me free up the structure and allows me to express myself more fully." Reginato's sculptures are large cheerful constructions resembling human and botanical forms. They have an energy and freedom of movement that one associates with abstract painting. Reginato lives and works in New York.
