TECHNOROMANTICISM @ Jean Albano Gallery
September.6.2013 – October.19.2013
Jean Albano Gallery is pleased to announce our next exhibition, TECHNOROMANTICISM, curated by Alfredo Salazar-Caro, which explores the exciting trend of artists who use computers as a tool for artistic production.
In the digital art world, Photoshop has become the new paintbrush and palette; AutoCAD, the new hammer and chisel; the webpage, the new Kunsthalle. In this exhibition, Salazar-Caro seeks to place this cyber-culture into the IRL(In-Real-Life) realm and allow us to experience it in the physical. The exhibition includes both international and local artists – and even an avatar. Alfredo Salazar-Caro, a recent graduate of SAIC, is an artist and curator working in New Media.
